School League
last year we started an inter-class hurling league run at lunch time. The trainers from the local club came into help with the training and matches and some of our staff gave up their lunchtime to supervise the matches as well. The final game resulted in a great victory for the team made up of Brian Dillon 6th, John Clarke 6th, Niall Kehoe 6th, Allie Keevey  6th, Shonagh Dempsey 6th and Sean Fitzharris 5th. In second place was  Sophie Quigley 6th, Aoibhean Ryan 6th,  Cormac O'Neill 6th, Jack Barron 6th,  Michael O'Rourke 5th, Leah Duggan 5th and Bobby Stafford 5th.

Rackard League Camogie

Some girls from 5th and 6th represented Scoil Naomh Aine in the Rackard League Camogie this year. We played against Horeswood, Rathangan and Bannow, winning two of these games. We played Horeswood in a replay to see who would qualify for the quarter final and we won. Castlebridge were the opposition in the quarter final. It was a very tough game for both teams. It was a draw at full time. It went to extra time and Castlebridge escaped our grasp. They went on to the final as we were knocked out. Thank you to Ms Breen and Ms Phelan for caoching us this year and well done to all the girls who played.

Mini 7's

This year we participated in Mini 7's. Our first two matches were against Newbawn and Adamstown. We beat both teams and made our way into the second round. This round was played in Bree. We played against Bree and Monageer. We won one and lost one. Unfortunately we lost out on points difference. Hard Luck boys.

Hurling Rackard League

In our first match we tried our best but Rathangan were victorious. Then we were beaten in our second game by Glynn. In the next match we beat Fethard which meant if we won the following game we were into the quarter final, which we did by beating Horeswood. We then beat Crossabeg in the quarter final. Next up we played Blackwater in the semi-final but unfortunately we lost. We would like to thank Mr Holohan and Mr Doran for coaching us and well done to all the boys who played.

Camogie Mini 7's

Girls from 5th and 6th class  represented Scoil Naomh Áine in the Camogie Mini 7's this year. Our first round of matches were in Bree playing Adamstown and Bree. We won both of our matches and went on to play Bannow and Danescastle in round two, which we also won. We did extremely well to get to the County Mini 7's Semi-final. We won one game against Barntown and lost one against Piercestown. We played very well and the school is very proud of us as this is the furthest the girls have ever reached before. Our team members were Allie Keevey, Sophie Quigley, Mairead Moran Wayne, Sadhbh Rossiter, Eimear Porter, Caitlin GAffney, Molly Murphy, Milly Sutton, Leah Byrne and Meya Murphy. Thank you to Ms. Breen for coaching us.
