Scratch Computer Programming

2017

For the past couple of years 6th class have been learning Scratch Computer Programming. It is a form of Computer programming designed for children to make animations, stories, games and quizes. In fact they can create anything they want and upload it to the internet. They follow ten basic steps of programming from the  Irish Computer Society. This allows them to be able to make something fairly complex. They put all their knowledge together then to create a project to enter the ICS's Competition for children up to the age of 18. 6th class have just completed their entries for the competition with the help and guidance of Mrs Colette Cleary and Ms Kay Grace. Their projects ranged from  sports quizes,  'The death of Michael Collins', 'The shocks of 2016' to narrated poems or stories. Below are the  links to each of the projects or they can ve viewed at https://scratch.mit.edu/search/projects?q=rathgaroguens
