Martin Conway from the RNLI came to the school to talk to the children about the RNLI's work in rescuing many boats and lives at sea. Martin showed them the suits they wear and some of the important equipment they use. Every class had a chance to see what Martin and the other volunteers do. The volunteers have other jobs and are on call in case of an emergency. It was also an important lesson in safety at sea and how we need to be very careful when we are in a boat or swimming. They do invaluable work and we were delighted to learn about it all.
